Where would my work placement be?We have clients throughout Berkshire and the South East, so our vacancies can be anywhere within these regions.

What is the starting salary?The starting salary will be dependent on your experience and qualifications.

How frequently will I be paid?Most people are paid on a monthly basis. This does depend on the pay cycle of the client you are working for. This can vary between weekly, fortnightly or monthly. This would be communicated to you as part of your contract when you commence employment.

Is there additional pay for unsociable hours?Yes. Health care assistants are paid an additional sum per hour for nights (8pm-6am) and bank holidays. Additional pay does not apply to nurses.

How do I apply for annual leave?You would first need to apply for annual leave through the nursing /care home/hospital where you are working. Once approved by the Resident Manager, Prowess Care will also approve your annual leave.

What are the statutory holidays in the UK?Most workers are entitled to 28 days’ holiday per year. More information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/holiday-entitlement-rights

Is training included?Yes. It will be a combination of free and paid training.
